Wildbird yawned, stretching from his nap as he padded from the Warrior dens and headed for the freshkill pile. Life around camp hadn't been too bad; it was the beginning of Greenleaf, and while things were heating up around camp, Wildbird was content in taking less work and napping most of the heat away. But today might not be a nap-taking day; he had training to do and he needed to do his share of hunting. Shaking his head, Wildbird sat back on his legs and began to clean his front paws, his mid-morning meal sitting forgotten by his side.

A yawn forced apart her jaws, revealing sharp teeth and a curled tongue. The she-cat stretched, allowing her hindquarters to remain in the air as she stretched her front legs. She then brought the front half of her body up and the hind part down, flexing what she could of her legs before a twinge of pain stopped her. The tabby she-cat sighed, sitting down so she could look back at the leg that rested a little bit farther away from her body than her other hind leg. Another day she would have to deal with this. Golden eyes scanned across her den, landing on the small piles of herbs and other necessities off to the side. Her ears drooped as she noticed two of the piles being smaller than the others. Looks like I will need to go out today.
Letting out a heavy sigh, she stood up, poking her head out of her den. She swept her gaze across the clearing, taking note of the few felines who were already awake. This was what she loved about the early morning: not many cats were up just yet unless they were heading out on dawn patrols. Pushing her way out of her den, Hickorybranch picked her way over to the freshkill pile, delicately picking up a mouse with her jaws before looking around the clearing. Usually, she would take her meal back into her den, but that would only mean having to get back out later when she needed to go herb hunting. Her gaze settled on one of the warriors with his own breakfast, though his food seems to have gone forgotten.
The tabby slowly made her way over to the tom, flicking her ears with uncertainty as she hesitated. She glanced around a few more times before continuing on, slowing her pace down even more as she neared the tomcat. "E-excuse me?" Her voice was muffled by the pelt of the mouse, but she didn't want to drop it just yet. After all, she might just have to pick it back up and leave. "Mind if I..." her voice trailed off as she motioned to the open spot next to the warrior with a swift nod of the head.
